As specialists in healthcare building projects, we have experience in a range of live healthcare environments, including acute care, community hospitals, GP practices and mental health settings. Operating in these healthcare setting brings its own priorities – for management teams and for patients. Importantly, these are our priorities too. Therefore, providing a high quality build or renovation is just the start of our priority list.
Here’s what else we prioritise in our healthcare construction service:
Patient privacy and dignity
Quite often, we are operating in live settings where the most vulnerable patients are under care. Our teams fully understand and respect the importance of patient privacy and dignity. As such, we take steps to uphold these important aspects of patient care. For example, we only enter allocated areas under the permit to work system.
Continuous functioning of facilities
Throughout the renovation or construction project, we keep staff working in areas affected by our work fully updated on a regular basis. Importantly, we routinely work with departmental teams in great detail to ensure continuous operation of facilities.
Dust prevention
We take great care to protect against the transfer of dust. Moreover, this is particularly important when working within a live environment. Consequently, we operate with a rigorous ‘clean as we go policy’. As a result, we have become first choice for a number of NHS project managers.
Noise and movement
Furthermore, we are continually mindful of our setting. For instance, we avoid movements during key periods, such as breakfast and lunchtimes. In addition, we aim to keep noise to an absolute minimum.
